TOPIC:  Developing a water management plan

GUEST SPEAKER:   Phillip Maloy, Executive Brand Manager, Healthcare Industry, Fremont

Pathogens have been in our water supply since before the dark ages. Many have been identified and effectively dealt with, yet a few stubborn ones still remain. Of specific interest is Legionella pneumophila. Found in many water supplies, it has been difficult to clearly identify, lethal to those that are immunocompromised and without any regulatory control until recently, it has become a bane to mankind.

This presentation captures the beast in technical terms and presents a proven effective plan to safely manage it.

What will be covered;

  • ·         Legionella…hiding in plain sight
  • ·         How to identify and control it
  • ·         Why do you need a Water Management Plan?
  • ·         Meet ASHRAE Standard 188
  • ·         What is a Water Management plan and how do you implement it?
